Everytime I have come to the Express lube to get any work done on my car the mechanics have been friendly and knowledgeable. They don't try to rip you off or sell you things you don't need. They're very good at taking customer cues and knowing when a customer goes in for a certain things that we want that certain thing done and don't want a whole lot of unnecessary hub bub about how screwed up their car is and how they can fix it. I know my cars is a piece of crap...it's a Chrysler. The mechanic that did the oil change in my car last month was awesome. I showed up at 745 in the morning without an appointment, he immediately took my car into the garage and within 15 minutes my oil change done and I was on my way. The mechanic and I even joked around about how crappy Chryslers are and I really appreciate that sense of humor since I really think Chryslers are pieces of shit. I've never had a bad experience here so I will continue to use them as my go-to mechanic shop when I need quick and efficient service. The one drawback to this place is that, like a previous poster said, the gas is very expensive. But honestly everything Kingstowne and Northern Va period is expensive, so I'm not shocked there. The associates in the gas stations snack shop are equally as friendly as the mechanics. They really just make you leave there with a smile which is not how one normally leaves a mechanic's shop. And if you check in you get $5 off an oil change! Wtg Yates!!

James and Tim were super in getting my beloved Toyota pickup through state inspection last month. The truck is so old that it requires a whole different set up to run the engine and wheels while its in the bay. They made the extra effort to get the setup in place and save me lots of time. Thanks guys!

Brought my car in for inspection on Labor Day, no less ,and the service was outstanding. I needed a new tire and it was out of stock, but Andrew promised it would be there the next day. He also provided me with several options and a great recommendation. I returned tonight and the new tire was there and they fixed the tire and had me on my way in under 1/2 hour. I was very happy with the price too. Looked at their pricing for other services and I will never go anywhere else to service my car.

I'm from out of state here for the summer for work with my husband and I woke up to a flat tire this morning. Took it over to Yates, awesomely friendly employees! They were quick to evaluate the tire, unfortunately it had to be changed due to it being to close to the sidewall but that was ok. I actually had them do 2 tires so it balanced out, and a oil change. I got there at 10:30am and was leaving by 11:30am even had to wait for a tire to be delivered but Kris assured me it wouldn't take long and BAM it was there! In and out in an hour for two new tires and oil change...Thank you guys so much!

Took one of our vehicles there to have our brakes done. Jimmy gave us a quote for new rotors, pads and shoes as well and a brake line flush and oil change which was approximately $550. We received a phone call from him letting us know that after inspection we did not need new brakes on the vehicle and that all he did was the oil change. It's really great to have found a true honest mechanic.

I was really impressed with the whole Yates "empire." I initially went to Yates Automotive in Del Rey, and they were really friendly, but levelled with me that they wouldn't be able to change my oil until later in the day. So they sent me to Yates Express Lube. I got a free coffee from the gas station shop while I waited, there's a nice little outdoor garden waiting area, and they did my car in under 10 minutes! No hard up-sell or anything. Plus, I got a free car wash (across the street) with my receipt (where, again, they didn't put a hard sell on me for a premium wash or anything like that).

The team leader was awsome as was the rest of the group!

I noticed one of my tires was losing air and suspected a faulty valve stem. Was in the neighborhood, so I stopped at Yates to have them look at it. They found a screw embedded in the tire, took the car and had the screw removed and the tire patched almost instantly. Great service and I will definitely go back to them again.

I am very impressed by the friendly service at this station. The business is very well run, and they are more than happy to help you out. A few months ago I picked up a nail in a tire. They were able to fit me in on a busy Saturday and fix me up in less then an hour. Earlier today I stopped by for some air (it's free there). The air pump station wasn't working quite right, so they had me drive into a service bay to check the four tires for me - no charge.
